At 0.5% in a rinse-off formula, the salicylic acid here is better understood as a gentle congestion manager than an active acne treatment — contact time is too short for deep pore clearing, so if active breakouts are your main concern, a leave-on BHA (with possibly a higher dosage) will do more work. The gluconolactone is the quieter star: it exfoliates like an AHA but its larger molecular size means slower, gentler action that acne-prone skin tends to tolerate well. The Centella Asiatica complex also appears at a meaningful level in this formula, which adds real anti-inflammatory support for skin that's actively broken out.
